You can easily place borders around text, a paragraph, or even an entire page. We'll begin with placing a border around selected text or a paragraph. To add a border only to specific text, highlight the desired text. Now do the following: Within the Format menu, click Borders and Shading, and click the Borders tab. Select the Setting you want, such as Box, Shadow, or 3-D, and make sure the correct option -- Paragraph or Text -- is selected under Apply to, located in the bottom right-hand corner of the prompt box.

To indicate that only particular sides get borders, click Custom under Setting. Under Preview, click the diagram's sides, or use the buttons to apply and remove borders. In the example, I've indicated the left and bottom to have lines, with the results applied to this paragraph. To create a border around and entire page, select the Page Border tab and choose a Setting, just as I've done in the sample to the right. To delete lines, select Format -- Borders and Shading and click the None box.

The Case of Quick Launch Lost It's possible to all of a sudden misplace your Quick Launch, located at the bottom of the screen display on the desktop. To untangle this predicament, right-click somewhere on the free space of the taskbar at the bottom of the display. If it is full, you'll have to drag it up to make room. Choose Toolbars and click on Quick Launch. Mystery solved.
