Earlier today, our National Honor Society members from CWHS kicked off the ‘Portrait of a Graduate’ project! 🏫✨ After weeks of planning, they traveled to East and West Elementary to teach students about the importance of resilience. It was incredible seeing our high schoolers step out of their comfort zones to connect with the younger kiddos through fun lessons and hands-on activities. We couldn’t be prouder of their dedication to helping shape the future of our students! Stay tuned for more visits as they cover key characteristics of a successful student. Yesterday Mrs. Sweigart's second grade class partner read a story, "The West Is...," from their Geode books. Students learned new vocabulary words prior to reading, "transferring to text" words that follow the v-e syllable type, and gained fluency practice with a classmate. #WeAreWeiser

Last week Mrs. Dague's Kindergarten class had a fun time learning how to make snowflakes with their Book Buddies in Mrs. Sweigart's second grade class. It was the perfect activity after a snowy and cold week! #WeAreWeiser
