By now you should have received a call from Dr. Giffing stating that the District is using a Flexible Instructional Day (FID). Today we will be completing FID #1 activities.
All kindergarten through 4th grade students have hardcopy FID packets that were sent home or given to parents at conference time. Your childβs teacher will be available to you via SeeSaw today between 10am and 3pm.
Please be reminded that your child must complete their FID #1 assignments to be considered present for today. Students will have 3 days from our return to school to complete this work. If this work is not completed and/or turned in, your child will be marked absent.

Due to the timing of the predicted weather, the Conrad Weiser Area School District will begin with a 2-hour delay on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Weather conditions will be re-evaluated in the morning and updates provided as needed.#WeAreWeiser
UPDATE... Since today is a FID Day we are going to combine sweater Day with Tree Topper Day on Monday 12/19. Dust off those sweaters and get the ready for tomorrow! #WeAreWeiser
From our Food Service Staff... Due to the pending weather forecast for the end of the week, Domino's Pizza day will be moved to Monday, 12/19/22. In the event that we do not have school or lunch on Thursday, the holiday meal will be moved to Friday, 12/16/22. #WeAreWeiser

We have been working on something special now for quite a while now and the day has finally come to share it with you. A few months back, our wonderful PTO purchased us some equipment to create content for our school. While we have used this to share some of our recent assemblies with you, we were working on this special project behind the scenes.
Mr. Showalter, Mrs. Yourkawitch, and Mr. Pearsall have been meeting with some students in small groups to create our very own Video Announcements for the school. Students wrote their own scripts for these announcements, filmed and appeared on camera for them, and students used apps to help edit and put it all together. Our plan is to have at least two video announcements for each month. As the year progresses we may add more segments and if we get really good at the process maybe we can get to more frequent weekly announcements, but until then we should have two per month.

We don't know if you heard the big news today! Our Kindergarten students have been very hard at work learning about their letters and sounds, and today there was a big celebration! Today they witnessed the wedding of Q and U! Luckily I did not object. Our littles and their teachers did an amazing job! Congrats to the happy couple of Q and U! #WeAreWeiser

A reminder to everyone that tomorrow East students will participate in a Glow Stick Party in the gymnasium. The event is sponsored by our PTO and is the prize for the school reaching the goal of $30,000. Overall East raised $48,080 for this year's Walk 4 Weiser. Way to go SCOUTS! Please be sure to dress with white or neon clothing and sneakers for the event. #WeAreWeiser
