Mrs. Stoy (as the Fat Bear) taught the 6th Grade Peacekeeper Team about bears and how they adapt and prepare for hibernation by catching salmon during the National Park Service’s Fat Bear Week this week. Students have also watched live feeds of bears throughout the week in her science class. The students then read and learned about the real fat bear contenders and completed brackets to track which bear will end up being the most successful bear who is the most prepared for their winter slumbers! #WeAreWeiser

Yesterday, the 6th grade Diplomats Team participated in a stream study where they searched and then identified macroinvertebrates found in the Furnace Creek. They also took time to learn to work as a team. #WeAreWeiser

The 6th Grade Peacekeeper Team traveled to our local Furnace Creek watershed today. While there, students conducted a stream study to locate macro-invertebrates with Mr. Feeg, discussed our water health, identified and sorted macro-invertebrates with Mrs. Stoy, learned about trout at the trout nursery and read a story with Ms. Matthew, and completed a watershed nature scavenger hunt with Ms. Fidazzo and Mr. Young. Additional thanks to our community resource volunteers to help make this a memorable hands-on experience for our students. #WeAreWeiser

The students in Mr. Feeg’s and Mrs. Nally’s 6th Grade English Language Arts classes have each selected a word that inspires, motivates or describes themselves for this school year. They created a word card to be displayed throughout the year in their classrooms, and wrote a narrative essay explaining the significance of their word choice. This begins their yearlong study and work based off of the idea of the power of words. #weareweiser #inspire

stadium guidelines 2023-24
• Any varsity or varsity/JV combination event will have an admission fee ($5 Adult / $3 Student and Senior Citizen) or have presented a pre-approved pass. • Admission will start 1 hour and 45 minutes prior to the start of a football game and 45 minutes prior to the start of all other events. • Admission is charged until halftime of the varsity contest. • NO 8th-grade or younger students are permitted to enter without an adult chaperone. • All children should be supervised at all times. • NO outside food or drink is permitted for spectators. • NO food, gum, sunflower seeds, or colored drinks are allowed on the turf or track surfaces. • NO backpacks are permitted for spectators. • NO balls, bikes, scooters, running, or any other type of athletic activity is allowed for spectators during the duration of an event, this includes pre and post-game activities. • NO body/face paint or costume masks are permitted. • NO spectator may remove their shirt. • NO re-entry, anyone who leaves an event will need to pay the admission fee again to re-enter. • Good sportsmanship is an expectation for all; please let the coaches coach and the officials officiate and please be positive with your comments. • The Athletic Director and/or appointed Game Manager will make all final decisions on any other situations.
