MS FFA members Aubrey Craft, Kenny Manbeck, Liam Meredith, Scarlet Neider, and Riley Skelton spent the day at Millersville University accepting their award from the Farm in the Classroom Hydroponics contest. These students designed a hydroponics unit and will be building it from the ground up in the coming weeks under the direction of advisors Tabitha Meredith and Bill Sellars. Their day today included a tour of the Tech Ed and Science departments along with meet and greets with multiple contest sponsors and current students. Four outstanding 8th grade students from Conrad Weiser Middle School recently participated in the annual ESRI Middle School/High School Mapping Competition. They showcased the remarkable "Wonders of Pennsylvania" through their mapping projects presented in a captivating StoryMap. We are thrilled to congratulate Presley Sattazahn, Kaylee Rankin, Michael Weiler, and Haden Feeg for their exceptional achievements. These talented individuals have been recognized as State Awardees, each receiving a well-deserved prize of $100. The State Awardees have all been invited to attend the PAGIS Conference taking place at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center on April 11th where their projects will be recognized. In particular, we are proud to share that Presley has been selected as the PA National Finalist. This remarkable honor not only secures a grand prize for Presley but also qualifies her to represent Pennsylvania in the upcoming national competition, with a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the ESRI Education User’s Conference in San Diego, California this July.
