They played a boo 👻 bump math game, had fun with pumpkin 🎃 trick words, listened to and acted out The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything and made a gobbler 🦃 wreath.

Mrs. Gates' AM and PM classes learned about the election process and campaigning for a 🍫Candy Election🍫. They voted as a class for the primary elections for the Hershey and Mars party candy candidates. They were then in charge of running their candy campaign by organizing and executing different committees (⭐️speeches, commercials, and advertisements⭐️). Today the 4th graders presented their campaigns to 3rd grade classes, where the general election vote occurred🗳. What candy will win as best "CANDY"date??🥇

Ms. Loose's first grade had so much fun learning about pumpkins this week! From pumpkin parts to the life cycle, carving, painting, and investigating! Reminder: West PTO Meeting Wednesday, November 6th at 7pm in the West Library. We will have a short meeting and then fill bags with holiday gifts for West Students. They will receive these gifts before leaving for winter break. 🎄
You're Invited: West PTO is participating in the Jack Frost Parade ⛄ this year and we are looking for a few more families to join us in walking and handing out candy. Line up is at 2pm. Today, Miss. Hulina’s Kindergarten used their pumpkins to investigate and discover! The class measured their pumpkins, counted the lines on them, and even tested if their pumpkin would sink or float in water!

On Friday, October 25, Duane Abel visited CW West Elementary to showcase his characters and drawings to our students! He encouraged students to establish goals, learn to love reading, and value their education. Abel has an extreme passion for illustration, and after creating the character “ZED”, he was offered a book contract. Between demonstrating his talents, sharing funny jokes, and interacting with the crowd, our elementary students had a blast!
