🫡🪖The Veteran's Day Breakfast is coming back to Conrad Weiser West Elementary! We are so excited to bring this event back to West. Last year was our first time hosting the event and we hope this year will be even better! The invitations will be getting sent home around October 18th with an RSVP date of October 27th. We wanted to give you enough time to reach out to the Veterans in your student's life. Miss Palm’s ELA class spent some time today whittling bars of soap into whatever design they wanted. They were inspired by the book “The Tiger Rising.” Where the main character Rob whittles wood as a way to express his emotions! 📚🧼 #WeAreWeiser #soapismessy

Good afternoon 👋 Tomorrow is our FUND RUN at West. Donations will be accepted through October 13, 2023. Please be reminded that the ONLY parents on campus tomorrow are the ones who are signed up to volunteer and have all clearances on file in the main office. A huge thank you to the West PTO for putting this event together, the weather looks AWESOME ☀️ 😎 ☀️ Mr. Gantz and I are preparing to dress up as 🦸‍♀️ 🦸 soon!

On Friday, October 6th, West will participate in the Heavenly Hat Parade🎩👒🎓⛑️🧢 Students and staff will pay to wear a hat for the day and parade around the school at their designated time🪙💵 ANY amount of coin or cash will be accepted. Donations will go to the Heavenly Hat Foundation to off-set shipping costs. The foundation sends new hats, free-of-charge, to cancer patients throughout the U.S.

It's hard to believe we are in October already. We started a new program this year acknowledging the positive things our students are doing each day! We are doing this by filling out an "Extra Extra News Worthy, Please Call Home with This News Story" form. Any teacher can fill this form out and turn it into the office so Mr. Gantz, our Dean of Students can call home. After the conversation, the form gets sent home with the student. The teacher matches the form by calling home for another student. In the month of September, we made 67 positive phone calls as a staff. That is definitely breaking news! #BreakingNews #WeAreWeiser
