We are proud to celebrate an outstanding accomplishment within our school community! 🌟
Mrs. Jen Gossert, Innovations teacher at Conrad Weiser West Elementary, has been selected as a member of the STEM Pioneers Teacher Corps, an elite group of just 27 educators chosen from across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and West Virginia. After a rigorous, multi-step application and interview process, only nine teachers per state were selected—making this recognition both highly competitive and incredibly well-deserved.
The STEM Pioneers Teacher Corps represents a distinguished cohort of K–5 educators who exemplify excellence in STEM instruction. Members of this group have demonstrated not only a deep commitment to innovative teaching and continuous professional growth but also the leadership capacity to influence STEM education within their schools, districts, and broader communities.
This prestigious program is funded through the National Science Foundation (NSF) as part of the National STEM Teacher Corps Pilot Program. Over the next four years, Jen will engage in advanced professional learning, collaborate with fellow educators across the tri-state region, and contribute to the development and dissemination of high-quality, research-based STEM practices.
The goal of this initiative is bold and important: to build a strong regional network of forward-thinking STEM educators and ensure that all students have access to engaging, cutting-edge STEM learning experiences.
Jen’s selection reflects her passion, expertise, and unwavering dedication to her students. We are incredibly fortunate to have her as part of our team and excited for the impact her work will continue to have, both in our classrooms and beyond.
Congratulations, Jen! 🎉

Last month, our National Honor Society students led their fifth and final "Ready 5" session. Since November, these leaders have been mentoring our younger students, and they ended on a powerful note: REFLECTION. 🪞✨
It was a bittersweet goodbye as our mentors helped our elementary students connect reflection to their own lives and goals. 💪🧠
We're sad to see the Ready 5 sessions come to an end, but we're so inspired by the connections made across our schools! 💙🤍

Exciting news to share! 📚✨

We are grateful to have received a grant from Mary Pope Osborne’s Classroom Adventures Program, a $125 gift certificate to the First Book Marketplace.

With this support, our school librarian, Mrs. Pearsall was able to add 30 new Magic Tree House books to our library collection!

These stories will help spark imagination, curiosity, and a love of reading for our students. Thank you for investing in our readers! ❤️

"𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐞?" 🚩

In 𝘓𝘦𝘴 𝘔𝘪𝘴é𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴: 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘌𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, Jean Valjean’s journey begins with a desperate act born from hunger. His struggle is fictional, but for many in our community, food insecurity is a daily reality.

CWTC is incredibly proud to partner with the Conrad Weiser FFA chapter to host a food drive, running alongside our production April 17-19. We’re aiming to bridge the gap between the themes on stage and the needs in our own neck of the woods. 🤝

While we love a thematic baguette (like the one in our graphic) we will be asking for donations of shelf-stable goods to best support our local pantry. 🥖

Click here ➡ cwtheatreco.org/ffa-food-drive for a detailed list of their needs! 📋
(List content/design provided by Aubrey Baker of the CW FFA)

Help us make a difference. We can’t wait to see you there!
