π October is National Principals Month π
From her own kindergarten classroom to leading them, Ms. Hoffmanβs journey has always been rooted in curiosity and a love of learning. π
This then-and-now look reminds us that every student walking through our doorsπͺhas endless possibilities ahead, and that learning, laughter, and growth never stop. π«
Weβre grateful for Ms. Hoffmanβs steady leadership and dedication to the Conrad Weiser West community. ππ€

Did you know that school buses are statistically the safest mode of transportation for getting students to and from school? Millions of children take the bus to and from school every day! To ensure the safety of our students and drivers, take time to learn about the importance of school bus safety!
β‘οΈ Drivers: Always stop for school buses with flashing lights and extended stop arms.
β‘οΈ Parents: Teach your children how to safely get on and off the bus.
β‘οΈ Students: Stay alert and follow the driverβs instructions.
Together as a community, we can ensure every student has a safe ride to school - every day. ππ€

At Conrad Weiser West, weβre reminding our students (and ourselves) that kindness is powerful β it builds friendships, strengthens communities, and changes the world.
This month, our focus is simple: Be the reason someone feels seen, included, and valued.
Every act of kindness, no matter how small, matters.
Letβs fill our school (and our hearts) with kindness all month long. π«
#BullyingPreventionMonth #ChooseKindness #CWWestElementary #WeAreWeiser

As a reminder, anyone picking up a student must have a valid photo ID with them every time. We require ID if you are not well-known to the staff at dismissal. Please note that the staff member supervising dismissal may not always know you personally, or there may be substitutes or staff changes. For everyoneβs safety, we will always err on the side of caution and verify identification when necessary.
I also want to be clear: our staff are following the rules to keep children safe. Disrespectful or aggressive behavior toward staff will not be tolerated and may result in a loss of pick-up privileges.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work together to keep all students safe during dismissal.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Warm regards,
Christy Hoffman

This week, families everywhere are celebrating the joy of reading together β and we hope youβll join in! Reading aloud builds connection, empathy, and imagination. Itβs one of the simplest (and most powerful) ways to show children that stories β and their voices β matter.
This yearβs theme is Purposeful Acts of Kindness. Letβs be intentional about leading with compassion, empathy, and open hearts β one story at a time. β€οΈ
So grab a favorite book, find a cozy spot, and take a few minutes each day to read together. Your time and attention are the best gifts you can give.
