Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work to ensure a safe and smooth dismissal process. This year, weβve seen an increase in the number of students using parent pick-up at Door 14 and Door 16 (first- and second-grade pick-up locations, located behind the building), and we want to remind everyone of a few important expectations:
Safety is our top priority. Please use only designated parking areas and avoid stopping in unmarked or unsafe spots behind the building.
Move patiently through the line. We ask that all families model courtesy and patience during dismissal.
Increased supervision. Beginning Tuesday, Mr. Gantz, our Dean of Students, will be providing additional monitoring at the first- and second-grade parent pick-up locations (Doors 14 and 16). We have also asked the Womelsdorf Police Department to provide support during dismissal.
Ongoing improvements. As we continue monitoring dismissal, please know that we may make adjustments to procedures to ensure the safety of our students.
Sneaker Bunch Option
Families may also choose the Sneaker Bunch dismissal at Door 24 (located at the end of the building).
At this location, students are dismissed directly to cars without parental ID checks, though staff supervision is present.
Parents must remain in their vehicles for this option.
If you would like to change your childβs dismissal information, please contact the main office in the morning. For safety and logistical reasons, changes cannot be accepted after 12:00 noon each day.
We kindly ask for your cooperation in following these procedures to keep dismissal safe for all students. Your attentiveness makes a big difference.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment for every child.

Today, we honor the dedication, hard work, and contributions of Americaβs workers. πͺβ¨
π A little history:
Labor Day was first celebrated in 1882 in New York City and became a national holiday in 1894. It was created to recognize the achievements of workers and the labor movement that helped shape fairer working conditions.
While many enjoy picnics, parades, and the unofficial end of summer βοΈπ, letβs also take a moment to appreciate the people whose efforts build, grow, and strengthen our communities every day.
Wishing everyone a safe, restful, and meaningful Labor Day! ππ€β€οΈ

Dear West Families,
We had a wonderful 1st week back to school!
At Conrad Weiser West Elementary, the safety of our students and staff is always our highest priority. We want to share some of the steps we take every day to keep our school community safe:
All doors remain locked during the school day. Everyone in the building must wear a staff or visitor badge at all times.
All visitors must check in at the office and provide identification before entering the building.
Staff members use walkie-talkies/radios and our intercom system to stay connected throughout the day.
We conduct monthly safety drills and practice various procedures to ensure that both students and staff are prepared and confident in the event of an emergency.
We follow the Standard Response Protocol, which ensures that our procedures and language are consistent throughout the district and in accordance with local law enforcement guidelines.
We want you to know that these systems and routines are already in place so your child can feel safe, supported, and ready to learn every day. Thank you for partnering with us in making West a safe place for all.
Enjoy your long weekend!! See you on Tuesday!
πMs. Hoffman

High fives all around ππβyou did it!

Hereβs to a year full of learning, laughter, and new adventures! πβ¨
