Earlier today, our National Honor Society members from CWHS kicked off the ‘Portrait of a Graduate’ project! 🏫✨ After weeks of planning, they traveled to East and West Elementary to teach students about the importance of resilience. It was incredible seeing our high schoolers step out of their comfort zones to connect with the younger kiddos through fun lessons and hands-on activities. Yesterday Mrs. Sweigart's second grade class partner read a story, "The West Is...," from their Geode books. Students learned new vocabulary words prior to reading, "transferring to text" words that follow the v-e syllable type, and gained fluency practice with a classmate. #WeAreWeiser
