Just a reminder that Information on the solar eclipse was sent out on Friday. The district has ordered special βAmerican Astronomical Association-recommendedβ glasses for each elementary student. We encourage families to reiterate the potential risks associated with solar eclipse eyewear and looking at the sun without proper precautions. Additionally, students are permitted to wear a hat to celebrate the opening of baseball season. Hats can also help shield from the sun as well during the eclipse.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) has developed a comprehensive resource guide for K-12 schools. This guide includes information on eye safety, viewing methods, educational activities, and more. The guide is available on PDEβs website.
