This week Mr. Showalter has been taking the Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classes to the LGI to check out the Hydroponics system and see what we are growing. Students were also shown where the Freedge is so that they know where to pick up the free harvested produce when the time comes. #WeAreWeiser
Last week, East Elementaryβs third-grade had their βBlast Offβ week π!
They got to know each third-grade teacher while making tie-dye t-shirts, playing different versions of rock πͺ¨, paper π, scissors βοΈ, writing down motivational affirmations, coloring ποΈ, and working on their teamwork skills by making crafts in groups!π
Weβre looking forward to an incredible year with these third graders!! π«

We just harvested a new batch of Kale, Swiss Chard, Buttercrunch Lettuce, and Oak Leaf Lettuce from our hydroponics unit. All produce is located in the freedge for the community, free of charge on a first come first serve basis. It also looks like we had some donated pickle packs to our community food bank on the shelf.
