Today our visiting author, Bruce Hale, stopped by our school to talk to our students about writing and about his stories. They were so excited and enjoyed every minute they spent with Bruce! It was a Sharktacular kind of day! #WeAreWeiser

Today, some of our students cashed in on the positive behavior tickets they earned to have lunch with a police officer. Again, we cannot thank our police department enough for all of their continued support! #WeAreWeiser

Parent Engagement Night Announcement!!! We will be having a parent and student family night at our school on Thursday, May 18th from 5pm - 7pm. Come on out and participate in some fun Summer themed activities, visit some local Berks County authors, come sit for a special guest read aloud, stop in to visit the Berks Weather Authority and learn about their Pokemon weather program, grab a meal, and more. All students that are currently in kindergarten through 4th grade and their parents/guardians are invited to attend. Additionally, any child that will be coming to East Elementary for kindergarten fall of 2023 and their parents/guardians. You will be able to register your child for kindergarten at this event if you have not already. Today, some of our first grade students were learning how to hook their readers, while writing from our upcoming visiting author, Bruce Hale! #WeAreAweiser

Yesterday our 4th grade students took a trip to BCTC to see all of the great options that can be offered to them as they get older and possible career paths they could choose. #WeAreWeiser

Yesterday, when Kindergarten returned from our spring break, they found their "eggs" hatched and out came a peep chick for good behavior. #WeAreWeiser

On our last day of school before the holiday break, Miss Lutz's Kindergarten class and Miss Iacavone's 4th grade class celebrated with Easter themed activities for book buddies! #WeAreWeiser
