The few sprinkles of rain are not dampening the Diplomats on their second day of N.E.E.D. Camp! Our campers are enjoying today’s Patterns Day Stations by fishing, geocaching, birding with binoculars, building bluebird houses, testing the camp streams’ water purity, and beginning their camp t-shirts. The Diplomat Team has started their week of N.E.E.D. Camp with sunshine and excitement! Students settled into their cabins, and have spent the afternoon in trail groups completing their Similarities and Variety Nature lesson, Quiet Hour, and completing team building activities. 💙🫂🏆 Most Valuable Scout: Spring Edition The Conrad Weiser Athletic Department started a new tradition titled “Most Valuable Scout”. Within this program, senior athletes were told to select a teacher/staff member who influenced their time here at CW. These students presented their selections with an “MVS” t-shirt or certificate and shared the reasoning behind the program and why the staff member had such a positive influence on their education. The first week of N.E.E.D. Camp ended as it began for the Peacekeeper Team, but it did not dampen their spirits! Campers: Just as reminded in Mr. Feeg’s nightly campfires, we hope that N.E.E.D. Camp was not “just a dream”, but like Little Gopher, you have painted memories of brilliant red and oranges, with hues of yellows and vivid greens, and the deepest blues and purples. Hold those painted memories close! A week can go by so quickly, but leave so many things in our heart. Our silver and gold friends- all of you- now share this special bond of N.E.E.D. Camp forever. #WeAreWeiser

After last night’s showers and chicken pot pie dinner, the Peacekeepers had another beautiful day at N.E.E.D. Camp! Our campers enjoyed their time on the trail hiking or cooking out on this last full day of their experience. They are beginning to think back on the wonderful memories they have shared this week including programs on Pennsylvania mammals from the PA Game Commission and Red Creek Wildlife Center and Nolde Forest Turtles! What a wonderful week of environmental learning, social growth, and fun for this year’s first week of N.E.E.D. Camp! #WeAreWeiser

The Peacekeepers awoke to a gorgeous day ahead- some trail groups have ventured on the mountain hike today while others are completing their team building challenges and campfire cookout. The second day of the Peacekeeper Team’s N.E.E.D. Camp has found them under sunny, blue skies! Camp is abuzz with the campers enjoying their Patterns Day stations. Rotating around camp, the students can be found geocaching, building bluebird houses, testing the camp’s streams water purity, fishing, birdwatching with binoculars, creating their camp t-shirts and bracelets and much more! #WeAreWeiser

The weather might be overcast and wet, but the 6th Grade Peacekeeper Team’s attitude is bright and sunny on the first day of N.E.E.D. Camp! So far, they have enjoyed their first flag ceremony, today’s lesson on nature’s similarities and varieties, and quiet hour in nature after settling into their cabins for the week.
