The United Way sponsored Ready, Set, Read! Program kicked off on Tuesday, October 17. We have some wonderful tutors who volunteer their time each week to read with some of our West students. Our community is amazing! We got off to a great start thanks to our volunteers and Mrs. Getz and Mrs. Crammer 💙 #WeAreWeiser

Mrs. Griffith’s 1st grade class got to carve a pumpkin 🎃 today! They made predictions about how many seeds were in the pumpkin and then worked together to count the seeds by tens. Did you know that the lines on the outside of the pumpkin can give a hint as to how many seeds are inside? Mrs. Griffith's class does 😊 #WeareWeiser #LearningIsFun

3rd Grade Science 🧪 🧫 In this investigation we tested and observed how water 💦 interacts with different surfaces. We tested writing paper, 📝 wax paper, aluminum foil, and paper towels. We observed the water absorb in some surfaces and bead up on others. #WeAreWeiser #We💙science #LearningIsFun

The 2nd grade classes at CW West took a blast to the past at Old Dry Road Farm. We learned how people lived over 200 years ago. We dipped candles, made apple cider, made potato candy and learned how gardens were a very important part of the daily life. 🕯️ 🍎 🥤 🥔 🍭 #WeAreWeiser #LearningIsFun

National School Bus Safety Week!
CWASD & @SHEIDPD🚓will participate in PennDOT's 🛑Operation Safe Stop🛑on 10/18. There will be a visible police presence at school bus stops and when students are transported.
