2nd, 3rd and 4th graders are great team players! Students participated in a “Floor is Lava” game where they had to work together to collect all of their teams colored pieces without touching the floor! Some students even got to complete this challenge blindfolded after completing the challenge once! #WeAreWeiser

Yesterday our third and fourth grade students began taking the PSSAs. In order to get us started off on the right foot our K-2 students came up to the B-wing to celebrate and cheer on our third and fourth graders before they began testing! #WeAreWeiser.

On Thursday night, West held our first-ever STEAM Expo Family Night in conjunction with our West PTO Book Fair 📚 We had a LEGO building contest, and activities centered around Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. The families that attended had a great time, and our staff enjoyed putting together such a meaningful event! Last Week our 4th Grade Students were able to visit the HS Ag Department with a Farm to School Grant. They could try vegetables and fruits and see agriculture classrooms and the barn. “Chick” out Second grade! 🐥Today, Mrs. Mishoe’s class spent time with a few baby chicks and turkeys. Ryder’s family incubated the birds and now that they’re big enough, brought them in to show the class. He taught his friends about candling eggs and all that is involved in caring for the babies. Of course, everyone was able to snuggle the adorable chicks! We are so grateful for this awesome experience❤️ #WeAreWeiser #LearningIsFun

It's getting warmer! 👏 👏 Here are some spring dress code reminders 🌼 👕 Shirts: Students' shirts should cover their midriff. Spaghetti strap shirts are not allowed unless worn with a sleeved shirt/jacket. 👗 Skirts and Dresses: We recommend wearing shorts underneath skirts and dresses, especially for daily playground activities. 👟 Footwear: Students should avoid wearing shoes with open backs or flip-flops for safety reasons. Please, please, please send them in sneakers as much as possible! Thank you!
