Join us this Friday, October 9th at 6:00 PM for the CW Homecoming Rep Parade! Come out and cheer on our Homecoming representatives as they make their way through the CW campus!
π Parade Route: The parade will begin in the parking lot in front of the Middle School, travel past the Middle School and tennis courts, and then head inside the stadium for a lap around the track! ποΈ
π¬ And bring the kidsβthe Homecoming reps will be throwing candy along the parade route!

Last week, some of our high school students had the opportunity to attend the annual Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire! π°π
And they brought their talents to the Faire! πΆπ Shawn Muraira, Ava Lowery, Ruth Anne Metzger, and Derek Natale competed in the music competition, while Juliana Hoffa performed a monologue and earned 2nd place in the theatre competition! Weβre so proud of our talented students! ππ
Beyond the performances, students got to experience all the excitement of the Renaissance Faire- from the lively music and costumes to the delicious food and energetic atmosphere! There was plenty to see, taste, and enjoy throughout the day!ππ₯¨π»

Weβd like to take a moment to congratulate Ms. Gossert on her acceptance into the STEM Pioneers Teacher Corps program! ππ©βπ«
Jennifer Gossert currently teaches STEM to students in grades Kβ4 at Conrad Weiser West Elementary. She is responsible for the creation of the STEM program and establishment of the STEM elective class at West Elementary. Ms. Gossert continues to grow and expand the program, creating meaningful STEM opportunities for all students- not just those identified as gifted. β€οΈ
Being accepted into this four-year program is a tremendous honor. Ms. Gossert was one of just 27 teachers officially chosen after completing a highly selective application process with several required qualifications. π
As an official member of the STEM Pioneers Teacher Corps, Ms. Gossert has brought new skills and knowledge back to Conrad Weiser to strengthen STEM programming across grades Kβ4. One example is her advocacy for the return of the Keystone BCIU competition for Kβ4 students following the stateβs removal of this age group from the competition. Thanks to these efforts, a total of 11 school districts now participate in this competition, which is graciously hosted at Penn State Berks.
But perhaps Ms. Gossertβs most rewarding achievement is seeing the excitement and enthusiasm her students have for STEM programs and competitions. She works hard to create these opportunities for her students without placing a financial burden on families, ensuring that participation is accessible and free of cost.
We are incredibly proud of Ms. Gossert and all she does to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of STEM in our students! π¬πβ€οΈ
